Hem Heath Colliery (Staffordshire) uniface pierced brass oval check undated. Obverse: Legend and number on three lines, the top and bottom curved: "N. C. B. HEM HEATH C. B. UNIT • 75 • STOKE ON TRENT". Hem Heath Colliery sinking commenced in 1924 with production delayed by a fast flowing underground stream. It was merged with Florence Colliery in 1974 and finally closed and sold on in in 1993. Good collectable condition, see photograph. Dimensions 30.2x39.1mm.
