Kemball Colliery (Staffordshire) uniface pierced aluminium oval check undated. Obverse: Legend and number on three lines, the top and bottom curved: "N. C. B. KEMBALL K.T.C. • 177 • STOKE ON TRENT". Kemball Colliery was very long-lived and commenced production in 1856 and eventually closed in in 1968 due to geological problems. Latterly it was mainly used to train new miners.
