Nigeria, Gilruth Brothers Merchants Lagos brass advertising ticket or token, thought to have been issued circa 1870-1880. Obverse: Bust of Queen Victoria to left with legend: "VICTORIA REGINA". Reverse: Legend on three lines, the top and bottom curved: "GILRUTH BROS * MERCHANTS * LAGOS". Straight milled edge. Ex-Ford, Tankersley and Lyall Collections.
