
Henry III (1216-1272) silver long cross cut halfpenny, class IIIa1, unknown mint, moneyer Walter. Obverse: Facing bust without sceptre with legend: "*H[ENRICVS] REX III". Reverse: Long voided cross with three pellets in each quarter and legend: "WALTER [ON ]". The mint could be Exeter, Hereford of Lincoln. Good collectable condition, see photograph. Spink No: S.1362.
