Edward III Pre-Treaty London Groat Series D

Edward III (1327-1377) silver London groat, Series D, Fourth Coinage (1351-1377), Pre-Treaty (1351-1361), mint mark Cross 1. Obverse: Crowned facing bust within tressure of nine arcs, fleurs on cusps except above crown, "C" for "E" in "EDWARD", unbarred "N"s, "R" with normal tail, legend with annulet stops: "CDWARD D G REX AIIGL' Z FRAIICoDohyB". Reverse: Long cross with three pellets in each quarter, annulet stops, true "E"s, lombardic "m"s and reverse barred "N"s, with the outer legend starting at six o'clock: "DIVTOR | EMoMEV | +POSVI | DEVMoA | " and "CIVI | TAS | LON| DON".
