Henry VI First Reign (1422-1461) silver London groat, type C, Class Xc(ii), Cross-Pellet Issue (1454-1461). Obverse: Crowned facing bust within tressure of nine arcs, lys on cusps except over crown, saltire on neck, pellets by hair (single die issue only according to North), two mascles in obverse legend which reads: "HENRIC♦DI GRA♦REX ANGLI Z FRANC". Reverse: Long cross with three pellets in each quarter, no stops with legend: "POSVI | DEVMA | DIVTOR | E MEVM" and "CIVI | TAS | LON| DON". There are no additional pellets in the reverse quarters. Nice collectable condition with a weak strike in areas, nice gold tone with slightly uneven obverse colour, see photograph. Good metal with a lovely sounding ring.
