Henry VIII (1509-1547) silver hammered groat (four pence), Posthumous Coinage (1547-1551), bust 2, lis in fork ends, Bristol Mint. Obverse: Bust to right with rose mint mark and legend: "|HENRIC. 8 D' G' ANG' FRA' Z HIB' REX". Reverse: Cross over Royal Coat of Arms with "WS" mint mark, pellet on border in second quarter and below shield in third quarter with legend: "CIVI | TAS| | ⚜BRIS | TOLIE". These debased coins of poor workmanship were struck during the reign of Edward VI but bear the name and portrait of Henry VIII. Stewartby 3b, page 528.
