Ramsey (Isle of Man) copper halfpenny token dated 1811. Obverse: Triskeles with legend: “QVOCVNQVE IECERIS STABIT” (which ever way you throw it, it will stand). Reverse: Value in centre and legend around periphery: “PRO BONO PUBLICO HALF PENNY TOKEN 1811”. Plain edge. Struck in by Sir Edward Thomason in Birmingham for William Callister, a timber importer of Ramsey. Reasonable collectable condition, see photograph. Withers No: 2100, Davis Isle of Man No: 25.
